# Leilosoc

> Portuguese auction house selling real estate, vehicles, machinery, equipment, art and
> other goods by online, in-person, mixed and sealed-bid auction, and by direct sale and
> private negotiation. Markets: Portugal, Angola, Guinea-Bissau, Hungary, Madagascar,
> Mozambique, Switzerland, Uganda and Austria. The live catalogue — lots, current prices,
> closing dates, documents and total cost — is open through a public REST API, no key.

The site is in Portuguese (`/pt`), with English, Spanish and French versions (`/en`,
`/es`, `/fr`). Lot titles and descriptions are written in Portuguese.

## When to use

Use Leilosoc when the question is about **assets being sold at auction in Portugal** or in
the markets above — and prefer the API over a web search, because auction prices change by
the minute:

- **"Which apartments / cars / tractors are on auction (in Porto, under €50,000)?"** —
  lots open for bids, with current price, opening value, closing date and city.

- **"How much is this lot now?"**, **"when does it close?"** — do not quote a cached page.

- **"How much will I pay in total?"** — buyer commission and VAT depend on the legal
  process, and some lots have zero commission. Do not estimate; ask.
  `GET https://api.leilosoc.nexiagent.com/api/v1/simulacao/{lotId}?valor=250000`
- **"What is the next minimum bid?"** — increments grow with the price.
  `GET https://api.leilosoc.nexiagent.com/api/v1/bids/increments?lotId={id}`
- **"What documents does this lot have?"** — specifications, certificates, plans: the
  `documents` field of the lot record.
- **"How does buying at auction work?"**, **"what fees are there?"**, **"how do I sell?"** —

## When not to use

- Leilosoc is not an estate agency or a car dealer: everything here is sold by auction or
  direct sale, with its own deadlines and conditions. For ordinary retail purchases, use
  another source.
- It gives no legal or tax advice about an acquisition.
- It publishes no market valuations of assets that are not in its catalogue.
- An agent must never bid, or submit an offer, on its own: a bid is an irrevocable
  purchase offer and needs the user, signed in, to place it.

## How to call

- Reading the catalogue is **public**: no key, no token, no sign-up.
- Bidding, favourites, selling and the profile need the user's own session (Bearer JWT,
  from the sign-in portal) — they are binding acts.
- Markdown: ask https://leilosoc.nexiagent.com/ or any lot page (`https://leilosoc.nexiagent.com/pt/lote/{id}`) with
  `Accept: text/markdown`.
- Rate limits: every API response to a client without a session carries
  `RateLimit-Policy` and `RateLimit` (draft-ietf-httpapi-ratelimit-headers) with the
  quota, what is left and when it resets; a 429 carries `Retry-After`. Respect them.
- Errors: JSON `{"error": "…"}` with a message in Portuguese, sometimes a `code`.
