"LAVANDEIRA DOURO NATURE & WELLNESS" AWARDED WITH ARCHITECTURE PRIZE

The gala for the 1st Edition of the National Architecture Awards “Espaço” 2023, organized by Revista Anteprojetos, took place on December 18 at the Casa da Arquitetura in Matosinhos. Works developed in national territory were distinguished in seven categories: emerging young architects, public space, collective equipment, collective housing, single-family housing, architectural rehabilitation, and hospitality.

In the Hospitality category, the award went to the Lavandeira Douro Nature & Wellness hotel.

With unparalleled characteristics, “LAVANDEIRA DOURO NATURE & WELLNESS” is one of the largest powers in Rural and Ecological tourism, where we can find history in every corner, on every walk. The 4-star hotel, which currently has 22 accommodations, seeks to keep alive in each of them the concept of the natural landscape of the lands of Baião and the history that each corner of the property preserves.

“LAVANDEIRA DOURO NATURE & WELLNESS” maintains buildings constructed more than 40 years ago in the southern part of the property, where the main entrance is also located.

In the center of the Hotel, we find the main building, composed of the Reception area and the “Elmo”, decorated with a combination of elements that convey the history of Portugal and the customs of the people, very well harmonized with elements of charm and elegance in its most natural presentation.
