How to Buy

How it works

Buying at auction on Leilosoc is an online, transparent process with clear rules. From registration to the collection of the asset, we explain each step.

From registration to collection

Step 1

Create your account

Registration is free. Provide your identification and billing details (name, address, and NIF or NIPC) and attach an identification document — or the permanent certificate, if you are a company. Then, confirm your email to be able to bid.

Step 2

Find the right lot

Search by category, location, value, or end date. Each lot includes the description, photos, documents, and sale conditions. Auctions generally have a viewing period, at a set time or by appointment.

Step 3

Bid online

Each bid is a commitment to purchase at the offered amount. You will be notified by email whenever someone bids above you, and you can bid again until the auction ends.

Step 4

Award

When the auction ends, the highest bid is assessed against the sale conditions. If the lot is awarded to you, you will receive an email notification with payment instructions.

Step 5

Payment and collection

You have three days after the notification to pay the price (movable goods) or the 10% deposit (real estate), plus the commission. Movable goods must be collected within 10 days; for real estate, the deed is executed within 30 days.

The last five minutes

To prevent anyone from being caught off guard in the final second, a bid placed in the last five minutes extends the auction by another five. In an auction ending at 5:00 PM, a bid at 4:58 PM moves the end time to 5:03 PM — and so on, until no more bids are placed.

Minimum increments

Each new bid must exceed the previous one by at least the increment corresponding to the lot's initial value:

In some auctions, a prior registration with a deposit is required to bid. When applicable, the amount is indicated on the auction page. The deposit is refunded as soon as it is no longer needed.
Can I view the item before bidding?▾
Yes, and we recommend that you do: items are sold as-is. Auctions generally have a viewing period, at a set time or by appointment.
What happens if I don't pay after winning?▾
Failure to pay may result in the cancellation of the sale, loss of the deposit, suspension of the account, and the obligation to compensate. Details are in the General Terms of Sale.
