+300 HARDWARE INDUSTRY LOTS AT PUBLIC AUCTION FOR OVER €1.6 MILLION

This Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 2:30 PM, a Public Auction will be held in Tondela (Rua Eduardo António Matos Coimbra). The event is organized as a divestment strategy, within the scope of the PER – Special Revitalization Process (3370/23.9T8VIS) of URFIC.

The 339 Lots presented to the market open the In-Person Auction with Lot-by-Lot bid reception. The assets correspond to machines and equipment for the Hardware Industry.

For sale are machining centers and galvanizing and plating facilities. As well as, various machines (anodizing, drum, shot peening, penetration erosion, abrasive blasting, degreasing, polishing, vibration drying, among others). Also at auction will be presented more than 40 presses and furnaces, irons, parts and accessories, tools, forklifts and pallet jacks. The overall valuation of the assets is €1,674,150.00 (Exit Value), with a Minimum Value of €1,423,240.00.

Founded in 1963, Urfic began its activity with the manufacture of brass hardware items. Over more than 60 years, its strategy relied on the sand casting system. However, it gradually transformed its activity into the manufacture of brass handles for furniture and construction.

The production processes were refined by the Tondela-based company. Just to give an example: automation of sand casting, and injection, automation and computerization of the hot forging system.

Furthermore, it is worth highlighting the partnership developed by Urfic with the Specialized Department of the University of Aveiro. That is, in the creation of new models and aligned with market innovations.
